June 4, 2015 Naples, Florida - Naples, Florida, is the county seat of Collier County where the entire southeastern portion of the county lies within the Big Cypress National Preserve. The northernmost portion of the Everglades National Park also extends into the southern coastal part of Collier County where some 330,000 residents live in a watery environment along the Gulf of Mexico.
