Shanghai Newspaper Front Page headline with UFO photograph published on July 9, 2010.
Entire newspaper delivered to me by Shanghai resident.

Photo taken by a Hangzhou resident shows an unidentified flying object
hovering over Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, around 9 PM,
Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Note the three-sphere lightning rod used only in
Hangzhou, China, rising from lower right roof. See People's Daily Online.
July 18, 2010 Update - American-Chinese Businessman's Feedback About Hangzhou, China Images.
“I work in China one-half of the month and the other half in Los Angeles. I have been to Hangzhou over 100 times and work with several factories in that area. My last was in June 2010.
I looked at your photos [ below Images 1 - 4] and the only ones that match the Hangzhou area are the first (1) and last (4) photos. Most of the homes in Hangzhou have a lightening rod with three balls on the rod affixed to the roof. This is the only place in China that I have seen the feature on the home. I believe this photo was taken in Hangzhou. If you enlarge this photo you will see what the lightening rod looks like. The other photos do not fit the Hangzhou area. The palm tree is a dead giveaway and the building shown in the photos has no marking that you would find on building in China. There are a some palm trees in this part of China, but very few. Also, the type of palm is not even close to palms in China. It gets very cold in the winter and I do not believe that this type palm will grow in Hangzhou. Also, I looked at the photo of the building and the truck is a Western style of truck and not the type you would see in Hangzhou.”

See the the lightening rod on the top of the home. Compare this with you photos.
FYI these home are single family homes purchased by families. The homes cost around $ 100,000
and are not finished on the inside. The fields are not the property of the home owner.

Blow-up of lightning rod on top of Hangzhou houses
composed of three metal spheres and the bottom sphere
is surrounded by a metal ring.
“Hangzhou is the end of the silk road and this area is known for textiles and is one of the most beautiful places in China. It is a very quiet area and very little happen there. This is the spiritual center and former capital of the Han people. In the greater area of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo, the population is 36 million. There could be a lot of photos out there.
The fact that airports are shut down or flights delayed are common in China. In order to save money, the military and airlines share the same runways. It is very common in cities like Hangzhou to sit on the runway while military jets are moved to the head of the line. Also, Chinese military goods and personnel are transported on commercial aircraft as the bases are located at the airport and it saves money to not require a military airlift system. In these airports sometimes when you land you need to wait and let the military people exit on to the runway. I know this sounds strange, but saves a lot of money. Also, the military people are forbidden from talking with foreigners. Please note there is almost no private aircraft in China. The web photos of the Xiaoshan airport are old as a second terminal has been built and is almost open.
The photo from the People Daily is the Chinese Government English newspaper and website. I have no idea what is going on. The Chinese government cares only about growing the economy and having full employment. The average Chinese person does not have the luxury of speculation, they are more concerned about their new found prosperity. I can tell you I spend almost one half of my time in China and I have never seen a chem trail in 15 years. When I am in L.A., I see them all of the time and I have no idea what that means either. Your question about the dissemination of the Soyuz launch right after the Hangzhou first image being classic government misinformation - maybe, but I do not think the governments are that smart.
I will see what I can find out as I am now interested in this matter. 100% of email from China is read by the Chinese government. The Chinese government does not mess around. Last week in the city near where I work in China, a man had a knife at the throat of a woman and would not release the woman. A police woman walked up and shot the man at point blank range and then put three more shots in him when he was down. The entire event was on the news and the police woman is a hero. The Chinese government was not concerned about the woman hostage, but only wanted to punish the criminal. This is the Chinese mindset.”
July 16, 2010 Update - Soyuz rocket launch over Bishkek, Krygyzstan, on June 30, 2010, en route to International Space Station (ISS):

Latest updates are that a Soyuz rocket (above) soared
into space from the Central Asian spaceport of Baikonur Cosmodrome,
flying over the capital city of Bishkek, Krygyzstan, on June 30, 2010.
Destination was International Space Station with cargo supplies for astronauts.
The robotic space freighter docked at the ISS on July 2, 2010.

dated July 9, and titled “UFO over Chinese Airport.” ]
Update - Letter from Earthfiles viewer on July 14, 2010: “While living in up-state New York near Roma Air Force Base, during the summer of 1996, four of us saw a similar light in the sky. There were a few clouds that evening, while overhead we began to see a slow pulse of light coming on and then off. As this light came on, the cloud overhead began to glow. This gave me an idea of the altitude being more than 14,000 feet. By putting my hand in front of the light and spreading my fingers out, the light was longer than the span of my hand. This light was seen for more than 20 minute and then turned off.
“By using my hand to judge the altitude of the clouds that evening, this light that we saw was over two miles in length! Several years later, on YouTube, I saw the same light coming from a video from NASA. The light was pulsing on and off. I have never shared this with anyone before now.”
This original report now updated above and on July 20th - July 13, 2010 Hong Kong, China - Around 9 PM on July 7, 2010, Xiaoshan Airport in Hangzhou in Eastern China was reportedly closed for four hours after a large, brightly lighted aerial object of unknown origin was seen and photographed. The People's Daily Online in its July 9, 2010, English edition, quoted an unnamed airport spokesman, “Some flights were rerouted to airports in the cities of Ningbo and Wuxi. A source with knowledge of the matter told China Daily on Thursday that authorities had learned what the UFO was - after an investigation. But it was not the proper time to publicly disclose the information because there was a military connection, he said, adding that an official explanation is expected to be given on Friday, July 9.”
Further on July 10, 2010, OneIndia.com in New Delhi reported that an employee at Xiaoshan Airport in Hangzhou said the July 7, 2010, strange aerial object did not show up on the airport's radar. “We should first find out how the craft owner got the approval to fly the object - even a fire balloon needs to get the authority's permission before lifting off.” So far no official explanation has been given.
Now today on July 13, Neil Gould with Exopolitics Hong Kong sent me the following email and alleged photographs of the same aerial phenomenon over Hangzhou that closed the Xiaoshan Airport.

Hi Linda
Pls read report from my China assistant
who has taken the news from her source in China.
I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the
UFO depicted which are claimed as true.
China is full of lies!!!
But I can vouch for the similarity of the description.
What is unusual in this instance is that
the incident seems to have been placed into a higher level of secrecy
Quote: "One staff working in the airport mentioned that a huge long strip shaped object appeared on the radar, height about 3200M, passed the north higher sky of the airlines. It is regarded as UFO temporarily after eliminating all the possibilities. And it is upgraded as top secret." Unquote
Linda
I am e mailing you several of the pictures
in the next few mails. Cannot vouch for authenticity of pictures.
Best
Neil Gould
