October 15, 2000 Grass Lake, Michigan - Since the 1950s, unusual deaths called “animal mutilations” have been reported around the world. Both domestic animals and wild game have been affected, especially horses and cattle. Ranchers and law enforcement have long been puzzled because animals are found with the same pattern of hide and tissue removed ­ usually without blood ­ from the head, sexual organs, and rectum. There are no signs of struggle or tracks around the dead animals, not even the animal's own tracks. That peculiar fact provoked law enforcement to wonder if perpetrators came in and out of pastures using aerial craft.

October 1, 2000  Yukon Territory, Canada - While unusual environmental conditions are being monitored and discussed around the planet, another unusual presence in the environment is also being noticed but discussed largely in private. The politically unspeakable are unidentified aerial craft in earth skies, even when there are multiple eyewitnesses. One example of such an incident has been investigated over the past year by Martin Jasek of the UFO British Columbia group who lives in White Horse of the Yukon Territory in Canada. There are only 30,000 residents in the entire Yukon and at least thirty-one eyewitnesses near Pelling Crossing saw an aerial craft estimated to have been nearly a mile long hovering silently about 300 feet above the ground.

October 1, 2000  Los Angeles, California - Geologists recently announced the discovery of the oldest known life in earth rock on Akilia Island, Greenland not far from the capitol, Nuuk. That early carbon trace indicative of metabolic processes is probably residue from microbes such as bacteria. The strange truth is that all the oldest sedimentary rocks found so far have evidence of life in them. No one has yet found a sedimentary rock devoid of carbon traces. So, when exactly did life begin on Earth?

Second Wheat Formation in Whitefish, Montana

August 30, 2000  Whitefish, Montana - Today I talked with Gilbert Johnson who has been a pilot since 1957 and runs a charter service and flight school out of Kalispell, Montana. He was flying with two others on August 28, 2000 when they saw a second new wheat formation in Whitefish only about 600 feet from the first formation discovered in mid-August. Flying over that first formation, Mr. Johnson and watched his compass shift fifteen degrees while traveling straight south to north, then shift another ten degrees flying north to south. So he tried the compass over this new formation.

Black Triangle, Red Lights and Spinning Disc Over Wiltshire, England Crops

August 29, 2000  Windmill Hill, Wiltshire, England - On Saturday, August 12th in Wiltshire, England before returning to Philadelphia, I talked with a professional interior painter and interior designer from Farnham, Surrey, England and his 14-year-old daughter, Claire, about a black triangle, red lights and spinning disc each had seen either with or without binoculars on August 7th during a night watch in the Windmill Hill formation that was discovered near Avebury that day. I was in that formation around 4 PM that afternoon and was amazed at the thousands of "peacock feathers" neatly created in wave patterns by the whiskers of the mature barley.

August 27, 2000  Whitefish, Montana - This is the third year in a row that a crop formation in wheat has appeared in Whitefish, Montana in the first half of August. When pilot Gilbert Johnson flew over the latest formation on August 15th, he might have been the first to discover and photograph it. The next day on August 16th, Mary and Larry Johnson, who own a health food store in town, saw the formation from Church Avenue near trees that completely obscured the pictogram from nearby and well-traveled Highway 93. The couple asked the farm owners for permission to enter and told people in town about it. Melody Watts, who runs a convenience store in Whitefish and investigated the formation in Whitefish last year, heard about the new formation while driving back from a vacation on August 20th. She was so excited, she first went to the farm owner for permission to get into the new formation before even driving home. Then she returned in the evening.

August 23, 2000 Wilcot, Wiltshire, England - On August 12, 2000 before we climbed Woodborough Hill to watch for mysterious lights, graphic artist, Andy Buckley, and his partner, Hazel, and I met at The Golden Swan pub in Wilcot, Wiltshire to talk about the intelligence in the mysterious lights each has sensed the past few years. Andy has a dozen videotapes of light phenomena associated with the crop formations, both day and night.

August 20, 2000  Langdon, North Dakota - Today I talked with crop duster pilot, John Boe, who has been flying and spraying cereal crops for the past seven years around Langdon, North Dakota - a farming community near the Canada and Minnesota borders. Last month, on July 20th, he was flying over the Janelle and Randy Bata farm three miles west of Langdon when he saw what looked like a tinkertoy of half a dozen circles connected by a path in a wheat field.

Updated – Close Encounter with Unidentified Aerial Craft and Helicopter in East Kennett, England

August 20, 2000 East Kennett, Wiltshire, England - This weekend I learned from crop circle researchers, Ed and Kris Sherwood of Millennium Research in Santa Monica, California, that when they were in Wiltshire this summer doing a meditation experiment, the couple had a close encounter with a helicopter and two unidentified aerial craft. The date was July 31st around 11:30 PM and the location was the East Kennett square inside a circle formation. Part of their meditation experiment was psychic photography, to photograph with a flash camera the air around them in an effort to capture images of luminosities and translucent spheres that increasing numbers of people have photographed the past several years. The exact source of the images is still a mystery. Their camera was flashing in the darkness when they first heard a loud helicopter approaching.
