S. Army Counterintelligence Warrant Officer, with information about an underground pyramid was posted on July 26, 2012. See: Updated Parts 1 – 3: 072712 Earthfiles.
On July 27, 2012, I received more email information about a “dark pyramid” underground in Alaska west of Mount McKinley from the 46-year-old adopted son of a retired Western Electric engineer, who allegedly worked between 1959 and 1961 on a powerful electrical system emanating from a very large underground pyramid of unknown origin in Alaska. Then on September 3, 2012, I received a long email from yet another son about his father’s firsthand knowledge of an underground pyramid two hours east of Unalakleet by Huey helicopter in late April or early May 1978 time frame, excerpted below. My Father, served on a PT Boat in the Philippines in WWII. After the war he went to work for the United States GSA and stayed with that career until his retirement. He received a type-written letter from Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal that might have been a form letter, but was signed in ink in Forrestal’s name.

was the last Cabinet-level United States Secretary of the Navy from May 19, 1944 to September 17, 1947; and the first United States Secretary of Defense from September 19, 1947 to March 19, 1949.
[ Editor’s Note: Wikipedia – Secretary James Vincent Forrestal was dismissed on March 19, 1949, by U. S. President Harry Truman “for health reasons” from his position as Secretary of Defense. Forrestal was found dead a couple of weeks later on the roof of a covered walkway below the window of a kitchen across the hall from his 16th floor room at the National Naval Medical Center otherwise known as Bethesda Naval Hospital. Ever since “suicide” was floated as the cause, conspiracy theories have insisted that Forrestal knew about the extraterrestrial biological entity presence and U. My parents were teachers in Unalakleet, Alaska, for a couple of years. They joined the Civil Air Patrol when they got to Alaska and my Dad would always make a pint of telling about any mission they flew in detail, as I was getting flight training in ROTC at ENMU and was a member of the New Mexico Wing of the CAP also, flying out the Clovis Composite Squadron based at Cannon AFB.
Until you related the story of the gentleman you called “John Smith” whose Dad worked for Western Electric, I had all but forgotten the story my Father related to me personally in the summer of what I believe was their first year teaching in Unalakleet. One day a USAF chopper landed in Unalakleet, accompanied by an escorting fixed wing aircraft, (I believe a C-130) and in the course of talking to the USAF crew, my Father was “unofficially” invited to hop a ride since the pilot’s Dad had also been a PT boater during the war.
Now I must say this strikes me as being very odd, in light of the nature of the mission and the destination, but I can tell you if my Dad said it happened, then you can take it for gospel! On the way flying east from Unalakleet, the crew told my dad that they were not going to a DEW line station as my Father had guessed, but to some ultra-secret underground facility that as the pilot told him the Alaska site was “every bit as hush hush as the Manhattan Project.” The pilot also told my dad to be prepared for when they landed, he was to stay on the chopper until it was refueled and not to speak to anyone, or it would mean all of them landing in prison or worse.”
My dad asked them if it was a nuclear facility? The pilot also told him that it was not a nuclear device; it was not made by man; it was an incredibly old pyramid and they had no idea where it came from or how it was built underground of cut stone; and it was capable of producing enough energy to power the whole North Slope, all of Alaska and most, if not all, of Canada!”
I can remember asking him if my dad believed that, and all he said was, “If you saw the way the guards at the facility were armed, with dogs and 50 Cal machine guns on the jeeps, I know something pretty bizarre was going on and when we got within about 5 miles of the place, the pilot went to VFR since all the instruments went crazy in the chopper.” My dad said there were about four different warning bells ringing and the radar screen went completely full green, the artificial horizon was spinning like it had lost vacuum, and the compass was spinning around at about 50 miles an hour. The co-pilot had warned my dad that would happen, but he said he never saw anything like it. Above them, the escort plane was flying large S-patterns at several thousand feet throughout the whole flight and did not land.
The chopper’s cargo was three suitcase- sized containers about the size of today’s 1500 series Pelican cases which are about 4ft by 3 feet by about 1 ft. high and made of very high quality aluminum-looking alloy. There were no markings other than warning labels advising “TOP SECRET not to be handled or opened unless authorized.” He also mentioned they were unbelievably heavy. He could tell that when the armed personnel at the facility where the chopper landed were without any insignias, which he thought strange since they were all wearing clearly military uniforms that were all black. The only things visible of the facility was a concrete block house; a small tank farm and motor pool; and the top of what was obvious to my father ( an ex-coal miner). There was the top of a mine elevator that was surrounded by light towers and electric fence topped by razor wire.
Upon landing and having the three heavy cases pulled out, the chopper was refueled as they had been at the very limits of the chopper’s range after about a two hour flight (perhaps 250 miles). No one said much of anything and they returned to Unalakleet, flying pretty much straight west away from the armed site in the tundra. All the way back, the Major who was piloting the chopper discussed his mixed feelings about bringing my dad along and he kept saying, “I hope this doesn’t come back to haunt you.” My Dad shrugged it off and said if the Japanese in WWII or the Pennsylvania coal mines couldn’t get him, then these guys didn’t worry him.
Later on after my dad told me what happened on that flight from Unalakleet, one day in the mid-1980s I doing doing some freelance television work at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ. I have had my own production company for most of my career and did a lot of corporate work I contracted with the various Bell system divisions, Long Lines, General Departments, the Labs, etc. On this day, late in the spring, I was working in the studio for the chief engineer. He was a great guy by the name of Phil, who has since passed away. We went to lunch. The talk came around to vacations and Phil used his vacations to establish mission-based shortwave transmitters all over the worked for a non-profit organization. He asked if I had been to Alaska and I told him we had driven the entire route in 1968 in a pickup camper, and that my folks were teaching school on the North Slope. He then told me a story of a good friend of his that lived in Summit, NJ, who worked for Western Electric who had been recruited by the government in the 1960s to work on some super secret power project in Alaska.

I am a Boomer, which means that my father was of the WWII generation. He was born in 1913, so he was about 32-years-old when the war ended. Briefly, my father claimed to have been “read into” the U.S. Government’s efforts to deal with the UFO situation in WWII. Actually, he claimed to have been involved in the UFO situation even before WWII – before the U.S. Government had even created permanent clandestine organizations like OSS and CIA, but that’s a story for another time.
He indicated that the UFO topic was considered highly secret and extremely important – on the same level as the Manhattan Project, or higher. Clandestine programs are dangerous; after the War, when he decided to start having a family, he resigned from active participation in the program in order to reduce the risk to his family (e.g., me). However, he was still considered cleared to work on the topic and, from time to time, was called back in to perform specific, short term tasks – such as being a courier for classified information related to the topic. He also retained friendships with individuals who had been in the program and continued in it after the War.
One day – I think it was in the late 1970’s, but I don’t remember the exact date – he disappeared from home for a few hours, unexpectedly, and without explanation. A few years after that, he began to open up to some members of the family (including me) and started talking about his clandestine life. I think this is actually pretty common when individuals start approaching the end of their life – they seem to have a need to come clean about secrets they have been keeping, and somehow, the consequences for revealing them don’t seem to be so important any more.
In any event, he explained that, in the few hours he had been gone that day, he had gone to a phone booth, chosen at random, armed with a roll of quarters, so that he could talk with one of his acquaintances at length, from an untraceable pay phone. He had received word that one of his close friends and compatriots from WWII, who was still active in the field, was passing through the San Francisco Airport, near where we lived. I will call the individual “Bill”. Bill wanted to catch up on old times and keep his friendship with my father alive.
During the phone conversation, “Bill” indicated that he was returning from an assignment in Alaska. According to my father, “Bill” had been in an underground base or facility that had been built there in Alaska for the purpose of working on “alien” technology and biology. During the course of the conversation, “Bill” described the location of the facility as being situated on the high ground, or ridge, between the confluence of two rivers, whose approximate coordinates are 68 degrees North, 154 degrees West. If you go to Google maps, you will see that location does, in fact, lie between the two branches of a fork in the Killik river and is within the boundaries of the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve.
Obviously, this information is second hand from my father, and I have no tangible proof that it is true. In that regard, this story is very reminiscent of your reader who described his father’s story about working on a “Dark Pyramid” while employed by Western Electric. I have often wondered whether there was anything to the story. However, the location he gave is pretty specific and can be checked out. Whether it corresponds to the locations other individuals may have given you is also unknown to me. Maybe one of your readers out there has been to Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve and can provide some information on what that area is like.”

This is an update on my last message (above), with some corrections, additional information, and thoughts on the matter.
After a little searching, I was able to recover some hand written notations that my father made on an Alaska map, many years ago, with which he recorded the information he claimed he had been given by “Bill”. There were four pieces of information on the note, given without explanation. Three were geographical feature names, Killik River, Colville River and Kiana Ridge. The fourth was the nominal latitude and longitude – 68 deg. North, 154 deg. West. First, please correct longitude to be 154 deg.
After recovering the notes, I obtained some topo maps from the USGS,to see how well the three geographical features named corresponded to the coordinates.
It turns out the exact coordinates 68.0 N, 154.0 W, lie within the Gates of the Arctic Wilderness Area in the Brooks Range not far from the Continental Divide and are about 10 miles from the Killik River. This spot is at least 60 miles from the Colville River. For this reason, the exact coordinates given, 68.0 N, 154.0 W, do not match up with the geographical features very well.
On the other hand, the Colville River and Killik River confluence is at 154 deg. West and pretty close to 69 deg. (not 68) North. If you look on the North bank of the Colville River, you will see a number of different, named ridges. However, none of the ones I looked at are named Kiana Ridge. (Kiana, by the way, is the name of a village near the Chukchi Sea, about 200 miles to the West of the Colville River-Killik River confluence, so it’s not clear to me why you would give that name to a ridge in the vicinity of the confluence, but who knows?) Overall, the area near the confluence of the Colville and Killik Rivers is a much better match to the description given, even though it is at 69 deg. (not 68) North. I speculate that either “Bill” was not extremely accurate in his placement of the facility, or my father made an error in transcribing the information he had been given on the telephone.
It turns out that the Colville River is one of the historic boundaries between the Gates of the Arctic National Park and the Alaska Petroleum Reserve. The Alaska Petroleum Reserve started out as the Naval Petroleum Reserve #4 in the 1920s. It has been described as “the largest tract of undisturbed public land in the United States”. It was transferred to the Department of the Interior in 1976, but prior to that, Petroleum Reserve #4 was owned by the U. S. Navy. I would say that U.S. Navy land located within “the largest tract of undisturbed public land in the United States” would be an excellent place to locate a secret facility. I hope this helps.
Western Electric and “Z Division” Sandia Laboratory
In the mid-1990s, I was approached by former Las Cruces, New Mexico State Representative, Andrew Kissner. He told me about his official research into UFO crashes and retrievals in New Mexico, and his off-the-record conversations with military and intelligence operatives from White Sands Missile Range, the Naval Research Lab and other government agencies. He had assembled many old newspaper articles and government documents leaked to him.
Former New Mexico State Representative Kissner asserted that in the late 1940s to early 1950s, there was an American government policy to shoot down unidentified aerial discs. But the discs retaliated. Many of our pilots died, which forced an end to our “shoot down” policy.
When I was writing my third book, Glimpses of Other Realities, Vol. II: High Strangeness © 1998, Andy Kissner provided me some historic background from his New Mexico research, which included the following summary. President Harry S. Truman’s Majestic-12 group of military, intelligence, science and business leaders assembled by the President to help assess the presence of extraterrestrial biological entities on this planet was linked directly to the Z Division at Sandia Base in Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, New Mexico, a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Electric and later Bell Labs and AT&T.

Do you remember that at its formation as a stand alone entity in 1949, the Sandia Corporation was a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Electric and later Bell Labs and AT&T? In 1993 Lockheed won the contract. As of Fall 2005, SNL/NM employed the equivalent of 8,600 full time employees and projected an annual budget of $2.7 billion for Fiscal Year 2006. Below is an excerpt from a recent study discussing Sandia’s missions:
