Glaciers Are Melting Around the World So Fast That Water Supplies Could Be Threatened

November 29, 2003 Milan, Italy – The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) released its new report this week about climate change and global glacier decline which headlines, “Unless governments take urgent action to prevent global warming, billions of people worldwide might face severe water shortages as a result of the alarming melt rate of glaciers.” Glaciers have contained 70% of the world’s freshwater reserves. But only a 4 degrees Celsius global temperature warming by the end of this 21st Century would “eliminate almost all of them.” Greenland ice sheets could be triggered to a complete melt-down with only a temperature increase of 2-3 degrees Celcius.Click for report.

Another Soybean Formation in Ohio

“We do not have enough evidence to conclude one way or the other that the formation is authentic or that it was hoaxed.”

– Jeffrey Wilson, Crop Formation Investigator

November 1, 2003  West Union, Ohio – This week, crop circle investigators Jeffrey Wilson, Roger Sugden, Ted Robertson, Delsey and Tony Knoechelman and several others went to see yet another crop formation in soybeans south of the Serpent Mound and Seip Mound where other soybean formations were found in August and September this year. This latest one was a little south of West Union on Route 41.Click for report.

October 17, 2003  Salt Lake City, Utah – On Thursday, October 16, 2003, at 10:50 a.m. MT, a Utah National Guard NCO with several years in military service reported a “plane in distress” falling in the sky over Camp Williams south of Salt Lake City. As a precaution and in standard operating procedure in the event of a pending air crash, the Salt Lake City International Airport stopped two airliners from landing. But the FAA said there weren’t any aircraft in the area. When the NCO’s report reached higher authorities, NORAD at Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado, became involved. As of this date, NORAD has not released any official statement about the NCO’s report. The unofficial guess is that the object was “probably a meteorite.”Click for report.

Part 2 – Military Interest in Serpent Mound and Seip Mound Formations?

The first August 24, 2003, soybean formation was reported by Delsey Knoechelman a half mile from the Serpent Mound in Adams County going toward Locust Grove, Ohio. The second "Mercedes-Benz" pattern reported around September 9, 2003, was found four miles east of the Seip Mound outside Bainbridge, Ohio. The third Triskelion pattern at Paint Creek in Ross County was first seen by a pilot the end of August 2003, about two miles east of the Seip Mound.

October 3, 2003  Bainbridge, Ohio –

Serpent Mound

“JEFF, WHEN WE TALKED LAST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER, IT WAS BECOMING CLEAR THAT THERE HAS BEEN MORE MILITARY FOCUS ON THE SERPENT MOUND FORMATION.

Yes, I heard two stories in the past week about people who had gone to visit the Locust Grove, Adams County formation located just near the Serpent Mound. One gentleman said he was just out there on Sunday and there was a military helicopter that came over and hovered over the site less than 1000 feet up and then made several circling passes over it before it left. And I did hear kind of a vague report from someone who lives in the area that they were out at the formation site where they have not been allowing visitors into the formation. We were only allowed out there because of our agreement with the landowners.Click for report.

October 2, 2003  Bainbridge, Ohio – On September 28, 2003, The Highland County Press newspaper in Ohio, published an aerial photograph by Dan Music and Ron Tillis that showed the second Bainbridge crop formation in soybeans this year. The newspaper reported that the two men “were flying over the area recently in their private plane and were surprised to see the designs cut into this bean field. Local residents said they suspected young people on four-wheelers had made the design. Several other crop circles have been found in the area, including one discovered August 23 (correct date is August 24) near Serpent Mound in Adams County. A third crop circle was recently found and photographed near Seip Mound in Ross County.” See 09/12/03 Earthfiles.Click for report.

Yellowstone Park – Will There Be Another “Super Volcano?”

The Caldera Rim in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, is 40 miles in diameter. 645,000 years ago, a "super volcano" blew out so much magma that the land collapsed downward a few thousand feet, creating the caldera. The Norris geothermal region marked with a red star has periodically had sections closed because of intense heating from below ground. Graphic courtesy the U. S. Geological Service.

September 19, 2003  Menlo Park, California – In the past three weeks since I reported about potential threats of volcanic activity in the Pacific Northwest and changes in hydrothermal activity in Yellowstone Park, internet chat rooms have been buzzing about the idea of a “Super Volcano” erupting in Yellowstone. Excerpts from one e-mailer at rumormillnews.com said: “Yellowstone is worse than we thought. …there is a large dead zone of animals and vegetation. …New geysers and mud pots are springing up daily. …They have closed more areas to the public than is being reported. There are several areas where the ground temperature tops 200 degrees. And earthquakes are becoming a daily occurrence.” People are asking if all the increased heating could be the prelude to a “Super Volcano?”

September 12, 2003  Bainbridge, Ohio – On Tuesday this week, September 9, crop circle investigators, Jeffrey Wilson and Roger Sugden, called to tell me a second soybean circle had been spotted near Bainbridge, Ohio, not far from an ancient mound called “Seip.” The new formation resembled a Mercedes hood ornament and is about twenty miles from the first soybean formation discovered on August 24, 2003, near the Serpent Mound outside Peebles and Locust Grove, Ohio.Click for report.

Part 3 – Unusual Soybean Formation Near Serpent Mound, Ohio

Return to Part 1.

Update September 9, 2003: Ted Robertson reports that when he and others were in the Serpent Mound, Ohio, soybean crop formation with the farmer’s permission on Friday, August 29, that evening some local people were driving by the field and did not know that a crop formation was there. But the travelers told Delsey Knoechelman that thought the soybean field was glowing and described the appearance as similar to turning on a car headlight in the middle of a field filled with fog. A similar glowing field phenomena has been reported in England as well.Click for report.

Insect Evidence in Mysterious Banana Squash “Symbols”

September 9, 2003  Grass Lake, Michigan – Earlier this year on March 14, 2003, a restaurant owner in Salt Lake City contacted The Salt Lake Tribune about the banana squash he cut open filled with seeds seemingly carved with symbols and letters. (See Earthfiles 03/15/03 and 03/28/03) Kasim Barakzia is owner of Salt Lake’s Baba Afghan Restaurant in which he has also been the main cook for nine years. Banana squash is a staple in his restaurant meals and he was shocked while cutting open one to find what he thought were symbols and letters on the seeds, including several with what he perceived to be the Arabic symbol for “Allah.”Click for report.
