Intricate Pentagon Crop Formation in Wiltshire, England

July 7, 2018  Wootton Rivers, Wiltshire, England – Early this morning in Wootton Rivers, Wiltshire, U.K., a crop formation in wheat about 150 feet in diameter with an intricate 5-fold geometry was photographed and reported by Cropcircleconnector.com. Soon after the crop formation’s existence went public, the farmer “erased” it by harvesting out the pattern.

Since the 14th Century, Wootton Rivers was a place that meant “farm by the wood” and the surname “Rivers” of the lords of the manor about 4 miles south of Marlborough. According to historic archives of the region, in the grounds of Marlborough College there once stood a castle, first constructed of wood around 1086. Local folklore asserts that the motte on which the castle’s keep was founded, known as the ‘Marlborough Mound’ and/or ‘Merlin’s Barrow,’ is where the bones of Merlin — King Arthur’s magician — are buried. Samples of charcoal extracted from the Mound prove that it was built around 2004 BC — at least 4,000 years ago — which makes the Marlborough Mound a prehistoric structure of historical significance.

Wootton Rivers is a small village and civil parish in the Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire, England, where hundreds of mysterious crop formations have been reported since 1990. The village is about 4 miles (6 km) south of Marlborough, the Wiltshire County seat and about the same distance from Avebury, the double ringed circle of large standing sarcen granite stones estimated to be at least 4,500 years old.

Near Calstone Wellington, Wiltshire, England

Two years ago on July 23, 2016, a large and complex 5-fold geometry pattern in wheat was reported 17 miles northwest of Wootton Rivers at Ranscomb Bottom near Calstone Wellington, a little south of Cherhill in Wiltshire, England.

The central 5-pointed “star” is enclosed in a pentagon. The pentagon outline forms the center of a larger 5-pointed star that is enclosed in ten dark sections. The outer border of the whole pattern is defined by five straight sides that are separated by five indents. Each indent contains a small flattened circle. Ancient geometries researcher, Marc Smulders, hypothesized that the 5-fold geometry star at Calstone Wellington, Wiltshire, on July 23, 2016, was linked to the start of the Gregorian Calendar and upcoming annular eclipses.

Marc Smulders: “This is more than just a beautiful design. It has 40 triangles and 36 flattened segments. The 40 triangles, I think, refer to the upcoming annular eclipse on September 1, 2016, 40 days after the formation. See Sky & Telescope in Websites below.

The 40 triangles also relate to 4400 days, which correspond with exactly 149 lunar months. The Maya also mention this relationship. The 36 segments relate to 36 × 4400 days = 22 Katun (a Katun = 20 Tun = 20 × 360 days) or 3 × 33 × 40 × 40 days and 36 × 149 lunar months. These numbers (3 and 33) explain the triangular form of the segments. The reason for this reference is clear when we count back 36 × 149 lunar months (or 22 Katun) from the upcoming annular eclipse on September 1, because this turns out to refer to another annular eclipse, namely the annular eclipse on Christmas 1582! This was the first eclipse and the first Christmas day (December 25) after the introduction of the Gregorian calendar on October 15, 1582.

One of the five small flattened circles in the outer indents is precisely orientated towards sunset and moonset on September 1, 2016, that could symbolize an end.

The relationship with the start of the Gregorian calendar 22 Katun ago relates to the supposed end of it, two days after the annular eclipse of February 26, 2017, and 220 days after the July 23, 2016, day of the formation.”
