Three Japan Damaged Nuclear Reactor Fuel Rods “Melting”?

Update 2:00 PM Pacific Mar. 14, 2011 - Fuel Rods in All Three Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Reactors Melting?

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano announced today there were signs that the fuel rods were melting in all three reactors at Fukushima Daiichi. “Although we cannot directly check it, it's highly likely happening.” Full meltdowns, in which molten nuclear fuel melts its way through containment vessels, could release catastrophic amounts of radiation, putting first responders and those attempting to fix the problem in even more danger. However, so far one nuclear reactor expert told the BBC that a Chernobyl-scale disaster is unlikely “because the reactors are built to a higher standard and have much more rigorous safety measures.” But what happens if those safety measures fail?

The radioactive plume from the damaged Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan is being blamed for low-level contamination detected on 17 sailors who had flown on helicopter relief missions to rescue stricken Japanese in the Sendai region that the tsunami smashed. The exposure is not considered significant — decontamination of the affected men was washing with soap and water. The U.S. Navy helicopter crews are on the USS Ronald Reagan 100 miles northeast of the nuclear power plant site south of Sendai. The U.S. 7th Fleet announced that it has pulled back its forces to widen the miles between them and the leaking reactors.

8,500 More UFO Pages Released by U. K. Ministry of Defence – But RAF Bentwaters Files Are Missing

“Officials found a ‘huge’ gap where Defence Intelligence files relating to the (Dec. 1980) Rendlesham Forest/RAF Bentwaters case should be.”

- BBC News March 3, 2011

“I am firmly convinced that it (Bentwaters phenomena) was something beyond the realm of anything we know that probably comes from another place - or another dimension. Here was something too small for human habitation, that moves under intelligent control, has the ability to change shape, and then multiple objects appear that have the ability to send down the  equivalent of what I would say would be laser beams.”

- Col. Charles I. Halt (Ret.), Dec. 1980 RAF Bentwaters Deputy Base Cmdr., 2009

“Secret and top-secret ‘SecDef’ files for the years since the late 1950s... are generally unavailable. ...Military intelligence records are even more elusive, and details on the filing systems of the CIA and other intelligence agencies remain classified.”

- William Burr, National Security Archive, George Washington Univ., 2001

March 4, 2011  London, England - Yesterday the U. K. National Archives released 35 more UFO files containing 8,500 pages of  “UFO-related documents, drawings, letters and parliamentary questions covering the years 2000 – 2005.”  See hot link at end of this report.

After BBC News had staff go through the newly released files, BBC yesterday reported:  “Intelligence papers on the ‘Rendlesham Incident’ have gone missing. … Officials found a huge gap where Defence Intelligence files should have been.”

Part 1:  BP Oil and Corexit Dispersant Still In Gulf of Mexico

New evidence that Corexit dispersant is degrading very slowly while seafloor marine life suffocate covered by oil, dolphin stillborn deaths in January and February 2011 are ten times normal, and many coastal residents are sick.

“The (Corexit) dispersant is sticking around. Key dispersant chemicals underwent negligible or slow rates of biodegradation.”

- Elizabeth Kujawinski, Ph.D., Marine Chemist, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution

“When the world sees something like baby dolphins washing up on shore, it pulls at the heartstrings, and we all want to know why.”

- Blair Mase, Marine Mammal Strandings Coordinator, SE Region, NOAA

Marine scientists report that since January 20, 2011, twenty-six stillborn and dead baby dolphins have washed ashore along 200 miles of coastline from Louisiana east across Mississippi to Gulf Shores, Alabama. The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies in Gulfport, Mississippi, west of Keesler AFB, gathered tissue samples from a male baby dolphin discovered dead on the Gulfport beach Monday, February 21, 2011. February 23, 2011 Gulfport, Mississippi - Microbiologist Samantha Joye, Ph.D., University of Georgia, showed images of oil-suffocated marine creatures at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico she photographed in recent research presented before the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) annual conference in Washington February 14 - 18, 2011. A year ago on April 20, 2010, the BP Macondo oil well erupted nearly a mile down on the Gulf seafloor. Between that day and late July 2010, 206,000,000 gallons of crude oil gushed uncontrollably into the Gulf of Mexico, while 770,000 gallons of Corexit were pumped and sprayed into the Gulf to “disperse” BP's oil disaster.

More Reports of Strange Booms and Aerial Lights

“From below the red light, a brilliant, white ‘liquid orb’ would drop a few inches in the sky before just sort of  blinking out... then a new orb would appear and drop.”

February 8, 2011 Albuquerque, New Mexico - On January 29, 2011, I reported at Earthfiles about several viewer reports of strange, loud, booms heard in many states and even in The Netherlands since December 2010. On Wednesday, January 26, came news and videos of red, glowing, unidentified aerial lights dropping “white orbs” or sparkling, silver-white material over American Fork, Utah, south of Salt Lake City, between 7:15 PM and 7:30 PM. The following are some of the emails I have received from Earthfiles viewers since those reports.

Tampa Airports Change Compass Marks While North Magnetic Pole Moves Toward Siberia

“We are seeing a decrease in the strength of the Earth's magnetic field, which is something that we know happens before a full pole reversal, but so far it's happening at the rate of only 8% decrease per century.”

- Stefan Maus, Ph.D., NOAA Geophysicist, Boulder, Colorado

The Earth's magnetic field is similar to that of a bar magnet tilted 11 degrees from the spin axis of the Earth.  Magnetic fields surround electric currents, so we surmise that circulating electric currents in the Earth's molten metallic core are the origin of the magnetic field. A current loop gives a field similar to that of the earth. The magnetic field magnitude measured at the surface of the Earth is about half a Gauss and dips toward the Earth in the northern hemisphere. The magnitude varies over the surface of the Earth in the range 0.3 to 0.6 Gauss. Illustration © by C. R. Nave, Georgia State University.

February 1, 2011  Tampa, Florida and Boulder, Colorado - There have been recent media headlines about Tampa, Florida's International and general aviation airports having to repaint compass markings on their runways. Geophysicists say it's because there is a general westward drift of the Earth's magnetic field in the Western Hemisphere. So for pilot safety, Tampa airports corrected runway compass marks to reflect what compasses actually read now in southern Florida.

2010 – 2011 Extreme Weather

“In the winter of 2010 to 2011, the Arctic and North Atlantic Oscillations went into a very big low which means the normal westerly winds from the west to the east have been weak and that has allowed the jet stream to drop down to Florida and stay ther longer than usual.”

- Art DeGaetano, Ph.D., Meteorologist, Cornell University

“I don’t know of any data that is indicating there is a major shut down or slowing in the Gulf Stream system.”

- Chris Meinen, Ph.D., NOAA Oceanographer

January 31, 2011  Ithaca, New York and Miami, Florida - Since December 2010 - in addition to all the Earth life die-offs in both hemispheres - there has been unprecedented flooding in Australia during their summer season while at least six major storms have dumped huge amounts of snow in the Midwest and East Coast of the United States. Now the National Weather Service is warning that the week of January 31 - February 4, 2011, is bringing a seventh huge and “dangerous storm” from the Rockies to the East Coast. Winds up to 40 mph will make already-freezing temperatures much worse.

Earthfiles Viewers Reports of Strange, Loud Booms

‘Boom’ Heard Across SE Part Of Metro OKC USGS Says ‘Boom’ Was Not An Earthquake

POSTED by News 5 KOCO.com: 10:54 AM CST on January 27, 2011

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- A loud ‘boom’ was heard by Oklahomans on Thursday morning, January 27, 2011m but officials confirmed that it was not an earthquake. Eyewitness News 5 began reporting a possible earthquake around 10:30 a.m. The United States Geological Survey said no such earthquake had occurred. The last earthquake in Oklahoma was at 9:53 a.m. on Jan. 19. It was a magnitude of 2.8, according to the USGS. So what was the January 27th morning boom?

January 29, 2011  Albuquerque, New Mexico - On January 27 to 28, 2011, at Earthfiles and Coast to Coast AM radio, I reported news about the many animal die-offs around the world since December 2010 to date. In Beebe, Arkansas, at 11 PM on New Year's Eve December 31, 2010, at least 5,000 red-wing blackbirds and starlings were found dead in a mile stretch of rural countryside. Authorities tried to blame the deaths on fireworks scaring all the birds from trees in the dark and right after a thunderstorm. What local residents did report was seeing birds flying into car windows and houses low to the ground, but not necessarily linked to fireworks.

Updated:  Leaked EPA Document Says Bayer’s Nicotine-Based Clothianidin Kills Honey Bees

“Clothianidin (nicotine-based pesticide) is highly toxic to honey bees.”

- Leaked EPA Document, November 2, 2010 [ See Websites below for 101-page Memo.]

“When bees consume guttation (dew) drops collected from plants grown from neonicotinoid-coated seeds, they encounter death within a few mintues."

Update U.K. House of Commons has proposed ban on nicotine-based pesticides.

On January 25, 2011, 36 MPs in the U. K. House of Commons motioned to immediately suspend the licenses for all neonicotinoid pesticides used in Great Britain. By the end of March 2011, the process to put teeth into an actual law banning nicotine-based pesticides could be a groundbreaker in the struggle to give honey bees a chance to live in an environment freer from poisons and more balanced to support life, not death.

Early Day Motion EDM 1267:  “That this House is gravely concerned by the contents of a recently leaked memo from the U.S. Environmenalt Protection Agency whose scientists warn that bees and other non-target invertebrates are at risk from a new neonicotinoid pesticide and that tests in the U.S. approval process are insufficient to detect the environmental damage caused; acknowledges that these findings reflect the conclusions of a 2009 Buglife report that identified similar inadequacies in the European approval regime with regard to neonicotinoids; notes reports that bee populations have soared in four European countries that have banned these chemicals; and therefore calls on the Government to act urgently to suspend all existing approvals for products containing neonicotinoids and fipronil pending more exhaustive tests and the development of international methodologies for properly assessing the long-term effects of systemic pesticides on invertebrate populations.”

Updated January 27 / original file January 23, 2011  Niwot, Colorado - Tom Theobald went to work for IBM in 1965 to 1975. “I knew I didn't want to spend the rest of my life in the corporate world,” he told me recently,  “so I left IBM not knowing what else I was going to do. But I had a large garden and decided to get some bees to raise. Before I knew it, I was a beekeeper and founder of the Boulder County Beekeepers Association where I served as president for the next thirty years.”
