"A long, metallic cigar-shaped object flew lower over a highway near Harrison, Ohio. The object 'without windows or protruding parts' buzzed an automobile, terrifying three male occupants."

Deep Impact and Stardust: Are Comets Made of the Same Stuff?

"We were hoping to see an exact agreement between Stardust and Deep Impact and we don’t have that exact agreement right now."

- Carey Lisse, Ph.D., Deep Impact Chemist

December 1 , 2006  Laurel, Maryland - This week, the European Space Agency's office in Paris announced that one of its spacecraft called "Rosetta" is preparing to swing-by Mars in a couple of months in February 2007. Since its launch in March 2004, Rosetta has been on a trajectory that will eventually lead it to its landing on a comet in the first half of 2014. After landing, Rosetta will burrow into Comet 67P Churyumov-Gerasimenko, named after two Russian scientists who discovered the 2-mile-diameter comet in 1969. The Rosetta spacecraft is heavy and needs to use three gravity assists from Earth and one from Mars in February 2007 to get to Comet 67P seven years from now.

"Brookley AFB (Mobile, Alabama) officials report radar had tracked a UFO. ... It made no sound, was silvery in color, traveling at terrific speed. ...It was definitely being maneuvered by intelligent beings."

"What constitutes proof? Does a UFO have to land at the River Entrance to the Pentagon, near the Joint Chiefs of Staff offices? Or is it proof when a ground radar station detects a UFO, sends a jet to intercept it, the jet pilot sees it, and locks on with his radar, only to have the UFO streak away at a phenomenal speed?"

Namibia Telescopes Find First “Gamma Clock” in Milky Way Galaxy

"This is the highest energy at which any periodic signal has been observed, nearly 100,000 times higher than previously known."

November 27, 2006  Gamsberg, Namibia - Astrophysicists operating the High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.) gamma-ray telescopes in Namibia have announced the discovery of periodic emission of very-high-energy gamma rays from a binary system. The object which is responsible for this emission is a double system called LS 5039, comprised of a massive blue star twenty times heavier than the Sun.

November 27, 2006  Albuquerque, New Mexico – In September 1957, Leonard H. Stringfield, finished his first book, Inside Saucer Post … 3-0 Blue, based on his research cooperation with the U. S. Air Defense Command Filter Center in Columbus, Ohio. Len had served with the 5th U. S. Air Force and was baffled by three unidentified lights that he and other crew members saw in 1945 while being transported in a C-46 near Iwo Jima. After the war, Len Stringfield seriously began to investigate the UFO phenomena. He was Director of the Civilian Research, Interplanetary Flying Objects organization, also known as CRIFO, and edited ORBIT Magazine. Over nearly five decades, Len tried to learn from firsthand sources about government cover-ups of UFO incidents and the interaction of non-human intelligences with Earth. He died on December 18, 1994.Click for report.

Scientific Data Supports Theory That Mutilated Montana Cow Dropped from Sky and Bounced

Yellow marks indicate areas of past animal mutilations between Great Falls and Pondera Counties. Conrad is the county seat of Pondera. The most recent cow mutilation occurred in Valier, 25 miles northwest of Conrad. From the early 1970s to 2006, rashes of mutilations have repeated every few years. In 2001, the Pondera County Sheriff's Office investigated fourteen cases officially reported and knew about another half dozen cases not officially reported.

November 24, 2006  Valier, Pondera County, Montana – This week I visited Montana Pondera County Sheriff Tom Kuka and his Chief Deputy Dick Dailey and Deputy Ed Erickson in their Conrad Court House offices. I was there to work with a Toronto, Canada, company producing a series entitled Best Evidence to air on The Discovery Channel in 2007. I traveled with field segment producer, Michael Sheehan, and his freelance cameraman Douglas Monroe from Pleasant View, Utah, and audioman Mike Kasic from Montana, to join Sheriff Kuka and his deputies at the John and Patricia Peterson ranch in Valier northwest of Conrad. Conrad has a population of 3,000 and Valier about 500.Click for report.

Pregnant Cows Disappear in Ohio; Horses Beheaded in Vancouver

"We’re puzzled and without a clue. Frankly, we can’t believe this has happened. It’s something that we would not have dreamed would occur in a million years.”

- Chula Family Farm, Lake Township, Ohio

November 16, 2006   Albuquerque, New Mexico - Back in the 1970s, there were British reports of cattle that either disappeared from fenced pastures or entire herds were found in a neighbor's pasture, inexplicably transported during the night

When animal mutilations occur, at the same time there are often missing animal reports that can range from small cats to large animals such as cattle and horses. One famous case occurred in Waurika, Oklahoma, in the mid-1990s. A rancher reported that 850 of his cows and 850 of his calves all disappeared one weekend without a trace of evidence.  1700 cattle missing! The case was never solved and the insurance company finally settled with the nearly-bankrupt family.

Outer Space Sunshade to Cool Earth in Global Warming?

“The scientific evidence is now overwhelming: climate change presents very serious global risks, and it demands an urgent global response. … If no action is taken to reduce emissions, the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere could reach double its pre-industrial level as early as 2035.”

– Sir Nicholas Stern, British Economist, November 10, 2006,
Report to U.K. Prime Minister and Chancellor of Exchequer

The little rings in the discs represent light from background stars that is blurred into the deflected ring shapes as an analogy for how a small percentage of the Sun's light could be deflected from reaching Earth. The goal: to keep the world's global temperature cooler. Illustration by University of Arizona Steward Observatory.

November 9, 2006  Tucson, Arizona – Even a year ago, I would not have reported about a sunshade in space to help cool off our planet in the grip of global warming because an outer space sunshade would have seemed too much like science fiction speculation – not news.Click for report.

November 3, 2006  Albuquerque, New Mexico - Around the summer solstice of June 22, 2003, at Royal Air Force Mildenhall in England, USAF security guards on nightshift were alerted that a bright, unidentified light was approaching restricted airspace at the base runway. One of the security guards that night recently contacted me. He had enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in 2000, had trained in the Air Traffic Technical School and was stationed at Langley AFB, Virginia, in Security Forces. In August 2002, he received orders to work at RAF Mildenhall, about 25 miles northeast of Cambridge.
